See it through

See it through

The world distorts, yet still she floats. Resilience in the blur, humour in the pressure, softness in the strange. For the ones coming through it.

Half-submerged in her own stillness, she wears a kind of readiness, quiet, practiced, almost rehearsed. The waterline rests just high enough to hide her eyes, just low enough to let us in.

There’s play here, a glimmer of childhood in the shape her lips make, absurd and knowing. But also a kind of training. A private logic. The gear is on. The storm is a whisper. Indoors becomes ocean.

This is how it is, sometimes: to prepare for the world by becoming part of its distortion. To float before ever diving in. The piece hovers between humour and vulnerability, inviting reflection on the quiet choreography of adaptation, the invisible skills that help us stay buoyant.
